Well organised, sturdy playset

"We are very happy with the finished ClassicPlay Premium 5ft Playhouse on Deck with Single Swing and Slide, and overall I would give it 4 stars. One of the best things was how well organised the delivery was. All of the wood pieces, accessories and instruction materials arrived without anything missing. I especially appreciated that OutdoorToys grouped the different wood pieces together with paper notes showing which section they belonged to, for example the roof. This made the build much easier because we did not have to guess what each piece was for. The instructions were also easy enough to follow. However, it is important to know that there are no pre-drilled holes, so you need to measure and drill everything yourself. This is definitely a time-consuming project rather than a quick assembly job. It took us around 2–3 weeks to complete, mainly working on Sundays, and my husband did most of the building. We also had to adapt the layout slightly to fit our garden. We wanted the playset between two trees, but our space was not deep enough for the original arrangement, so we moved the slide to the left side and kept the ladder/stairs at the front. This worked very well and did not affect the use of the playset. It is worth mentioning that the set takes up quite a lot of space, so I would recommend measuring your area carefully before ordering. The only disappointment for us was the swing-seat arrangement. My son is 32 months old and is not yet ready for the open flat swing seat supplied with the set. I purchased the matching PolarPlay toddler seat separately, but unfortunately it was too restrictive for him even though it was advertised as suitable for children up to 36 months. I eventually bought the Rebo 3-in-1 swing seat instead, which is much more practical and can grow with him, although the colour does not match the playset and slide as nicely. This is not really a fault with the playhouse itself, but it is a shame there is not a matching 3-in-1 toddler swing-seat option. A few of the timber pieces had some cracks, but none were broken and they have not affected the overall structure. The wood feels strong and sturdy, and I plan to add a protective wood treatment to help it last longer outdoors. Overall, we are very pleased with the finished playset. It looks great in the garden, feels solid, and my son is already enjoying it. Just be prepared for a fairly involved build and allow plenty of time for assembly."
