"We chose to assemble it ourselves, which took 2 full afternoons plus 2 further sessions to do the ground anchors. It's very well made and sturdy, with almost everything fitting exactly as expected (2 of the main timbers were slightly too big to fit into the corner pieces - probably because they were slightly damp - and had to be sanded & hammered into place). Nothing was pre-drilled or marked, but the diagrams were pretty clear. There were separate assembly instruction leaflets for each part (swing frame, platform and slide attachment, etc.), with no overarching plan showing the best sequence to follow, and more details would have been helpful, such as 'if you have the steering wheel add-on, fix this before fitting the bar for joining the platform to the main frame' and 'if you have the platform and slide attachment, fit the horizontal crossbar inside the frame on that side'. There's no guidance on spacing the swings and glider - common sense required. The instructions for the glider didn't make it clear which washers to use where (3 different types). The ground anchors were designed to be screwed through the turf and into the earth, but that was impossible with our stony ground, so holes had to be dug and the anchors post-creted into them. Assembling this is no job for a beginner; you need to have quite a few tools - power sander, drill and screwdriver, mallet, socket set - and the strength and experience to use them, but the end result is a very strong, smart and popular piece of play equipment, which should last a very long time."
